2008 chrysler pt 2.4 turbo

changed water pump and timing belt , set timing up , turn pver by had and all marks still lined up .. start vech up and run great for minute or two the miss fires bad /

    If it runs ok for a minute or two then timing should be good. Check other items such as plugs coils injectors and compression.

    I agree. just because the marks are lined up doesn't mean that something somewhere didn't move or shift. check fuel, spark, and compression like jeffreyd1 said. then continue from there.

    The obvious concern is that if anything moved when the timing belt was off, it may have damaged valves. I have seen carbon break loose as a result of a repair a few times. It can cause misfires. Even though you just changed the timing belt, don't skip the basics. Identify the cylinder(s) that is/are misfiring. Verify compression, spark, & fuel injector signal. Once you have that, you can figure out the next step.
